What do you bring to a breathwork session?

All you need is a bottle of water, and a towel/yoga mat to lay on. You can come barefoot. If you are advanced, bring a heavy book.

Who would benefit from this class?

Everyone! Breathing is a common trait of being alive but most of us do it very poorly. Anyone artistic, creative, athletic, or a problem solver can benefit from understanding how to calm their nervous system & relax their mind at will.

Considered a fundamental class for any athlete, particularly competitive golfer, free diver, or singer who wants to increase their range and volume. Children 10 and up can understand the majority of the exercises and can benefit greatly with emotional outbursts. Teenagers riddle with ADHD, depression, attention disorders, or normal can master at a young age the awareness of their nervous systems responses. Senior citizens who want to move better and feel stronger can learn easy at-home exercises to keep their lung field strong & robust for years to come.

What sets you apart from other breath workers?

Many popular breathing classes work on a hyperventilating technique like Whim Hof method or Holotropic breathing. Although these were pivotal rhythmic experimentations of their time, there are healthier, easier ways to increase your hypoxia training and relax the nervous system without a sympathetic nervous system crash (which is what these methods use to create relaxation).

This class is based on cutting edge neuroscience and fascia training used by Navy Seals and elite athletes across industries (ballerinas to UFC fighters). By combining Navy Seal nervous system regulation techniques, ancient Pranayama exercises and freediving diaphragm exercises the whole system is reset and unconscious breathing habits are retrained. Many clients experience a doubled breath hold within 4 weeks of training and significant reduction in stress and sleeping issues.

Can I set up a class for my community?

Yes, as long as people can comfortably lie down we can do a class almost anywhere. I have tools to perform musically with the lecture in outdoor and indoor settings. Please email us at musicalbreathwork.com to set a meeting.

Can I set up a private breath session?

Yes, online we can provide a very customized breath session at your convenience. See the services tab or email musicalbreathwork@gmail.com.

What kind of breathwork is this?

In our Brain & Breath Connection class we discuss the many forms of breathwork used in history and currently and the differences between them.

Musical Breathwork is a fusion of buteyko, pranayama and Navy Seal techniques for the breath sequences. We use a mix of free diver and professional vocal exercises to strengthen respiratory muscles. Fascia release techniques are used in advanced classes, adrenaline classes, and the trainings on Monday and Wednesdays to recondition the foot/pelvic floor/ diaphragm connection.

The Brain & Breath Connection class is formulated as a foundational 101: how to properly breath for health, welling being and creative thinking. Classes can be tailored to enhance athletic abilities, calm a child's mind, ease an anxious mindset or asthmatics condition. Advance sessions are available privately or on a quarterly basis, see monthly subscription for information.
